Have you got questions?
Let me shed some light on them for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many weddings do you book per year?
I only take on 20-25 weddings per season to ensure that I can give 100% of myself to each of my couples. I used to shoot a lot more (over 40), but I’ve found that by shooting less I can connect with my couples more, and give them the best experience possible - coz that's what it's all about. I'd rather shoot less and have the best relationships with my clients, rather than just booking as many as I possibly can. I usually only book one wedding per week so that I’m always fresh and ready to go for your day.
How long have you been a photographer?
5 years now! I started shooting professionally as soon I finished my photography studies.
Where are you based out of?
Margaret River, Western Australia. Literally one of the best places in the world – no matter how far I travel, I’m always excited to come back to this little oasis.
How many images can we expect from our engagement or wedding?
You can be sure that I’ll include every big, little and in-between moment from your day. Each package varies with how many photos you’ll receive back, but I don’t shoot to exact numbers – I prefer to just capture what’s happening without worrying about numbers. A full days wedding coverage usually receives between 500-700 images back.
Does it cost to have you travel to our wedding? How much?
I don’t charge a travel fee for the Margaret River, Yallingup or Dunsborough areas as I’m based here. I charge a $200 travel fee for Perth weddings, or weddings further south than Margaret River. Any other locations, just ask! I’m always keen to go somewhere new.
We’re really awkward in front of the camera?
I've got your back! Literally every single one of my couples says this to me (I feel the exact same way whenever a camera’s pointed at me), but they always leave saying how easy and fun it actually can be. My style is all about capturing you guys being you, and I definitely have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve to help guide you into being exactly that.
Can we meet with you?
Yes, meetings are a great idea to make we sure we’re on the same page. I chat with most of my couples on Skype or Facetime before they book me, and then catch up for a wine/coffee/sangria closer to the wedding.
Can I have unedited versions of the photos or the RAWs?
Part of the magic for me is the editing, and I would never let anyone else do this for me, or send out RAW images into the world! I don’t think that the photography itself makes the end product – it’s a combo of the two to achieve my style.
How will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive your photos via an online downloadable gallery, and also on a keepsake USB. You’re also able to order a duplicate USB for your parents to have.
How long until we get to see our photos?
You’ll get a few shots back the week of your wedding to share around, and then all of your finished photos delivered back to you within six weeks or less. Couple shoots can expect images back within three weeks or less.
How do payment schedules work?
I require a 30% retainer to secure your wedding date, and the balance is due thirty days before the wedding date. If you want to split it up into more payments to make it easier, we can definitely do that – just reach out to me.
Do couples ever travel you for shoots?
For sure! I’ve shot weddings in Mauritius, Italy, France, New Zealand and more – destination weddings are SO much fun and you should defs get in touch if you’re getting married overseas! Check out my travel bucket list on my website to see if your location is there! If you’re a couple wanting photos of just the two of you, why not do it somewhere amazing overseas - imagine the incredible memories you could capture to remember your time there!
What if we need to cancel/reschedule our shoot or wedding?
If you’ve already put down your deposit, I’m happy to hold it and transfer it across to a new date if we can find one that works for both of us – I’ll need at minimum 10 months notice for weddings, and two weeks for couples shoots. Otherwise, if your wedding is cancelled for any reason the deposit is non-refundable.
Do you help in the planning process?
I have an awesome wedding guide with heaps of tips in there for your wedding, and am here for any questions you have! I’ve seen a lotta weddings over the last few years, so you should defs pick my brain. I’ll always help put your timeline together, so that we can ensure we’ll be utilising the best light on the day.
